Plastering the masonry surface with a thin coating of mortar provides a damp-proof finish for the masonry structure. Plastering also improves the building’s appearance by providing a smooth, finished surface for the brickwork.
Plastering has numerous uses, such as creating a paint-ready surface, protecting the surface from airborne debris, camouflaging porous materials, and disguising masonry flaws.
